IPAA Victoria established the African-Australian CoP Network in mid-2020 and is open to public purpose sector professionals, who have an African heritage or an African affiliation.
The Network will bring public purpose sector professionals across government (Local, State and Federal), as well as relevant sections from private, community and not for profit sectors together, who are passionate about building their professional and leadership capabilities and enable constructive engagement on a range of matters relevant to its members.
Build and enhance connections and networks for African-Australian professionals across the public purpose sector, business and community groups to share ideas, expertise and opportunities.
Deliver bespoke professional and leadership development for African-Australian professionals in the public purpose sector and related sectors.
Act as a leading reference group and contribute to thought leadership on current and emerging issues relevant to African-Australian professionals.
The IPAA Victoria African-Australian CoP Committee is committed to supporting, advocating for and contributing to the development of inclusive and equitable policies and practices that improve workforce participation and outcomes for African-Australian professionals across the public purpose sector in Victoria.
