Calling all public sector professionals and teams to nominate in IPAA Victoria’s Leadership in the Public Sector Awards 2022

Did your team, organisation or colleagues spearhead an innovative, far-reaching project or initiative that benefited the public sector and the Victorian community? If so, IPAA Victoria wants to hear from you.

Nominations are now open for IPAA Victoria’s Leadership in the Public Sector Awards 2022 using a new, simple online process.

The Leadership Awards are among the highest honours awarded to organisations and teams who work in the public sector. This year’s theme is ‘Innovation, inspiration, impact. Recognising exceptional design and delivery across the public sector’.

The Leadership Awards recognise best practice and innovation in the Victorian public sector, and their significant impact on the community, both now and in the future.

Nominations are open for all levels of government – Federal, State and Local – in Victoria for exceptional projects and initiatives that benefit the community.

Awards open for nomination:

  1. Better Outcomes Through Regulation Award

  2. Citizen-centred Service Design Award

  3. Climate Change Impact and Adaptation Award

  4. Communications and Engagement Excellence Award

  5. Emergency Management Award

  6. Evidence-Based Policy Award

  7. Governance and Integrity Award

  8. Implementing Aboriginal Self-determination Award

  9. Leading Employer Award

This year will also feature a new People’s Choice Award to recognise exceptional projects or initiatives as recognised by peers in the sector. All finalists in the Leadership Awards will be eligible for the People's Choice Award.

In addition, nominations are open for the Emerging Aboriginal Leader Scholarship. This biennial Scholarship supports broad career pathways in the public sector for First Nations employees. The scholarship consists of a 12-month professional development package tailored to the needs of the recipient.

The Leadership Awards play a critical role in IPAA Victoria’s mission to celebrate, connect and empower the public sector.
