African Victorian Public Purpose and Corporate Leadership: Lessons and Learnings

Entsar is General Manager of Government & Stakeholder Engagement and Registry Services.

Entsar has 13 years’ experience in building government and organisational capability, driving operational excellence, and change and transformation with a central focus on improved stakeholder management. Entsar has held Executive roles across the Department of Premier and Cabinet, the city of Port Phillip, and the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning.

The Deputy President of the Institute of Public Administration Australia (Victoria Chapter) and a Board Director of Gender Equity Victoria, she is also a mentor with Leadership Victoria and the Victorian Endowment for Science, Knowledge and Innovation (VESKI).

In 2018, Entsar was the youngest recipient to receive the Top 50 Women in the Public Sector (Victoria) Award.

Dam leads Uber’s Public Transportation and Accessibility team in Australia & New Zealand. In this role, Dam works to help public agencies and riders harness Uber’s technology platform to make transport more convenient, efficient and easy to use. His work also includes improving choice and access for people with disabilities through the Uber platform. Prior to joining Uber, Dam worked with organisations to create value in various corporate strategy roles. 

Adel has been at NAB for almost 10 years, started his career as a Graduate. From there he moved into the Group Strategy team where he spent almost 5 years in various roles across the Group, Business Bank and Corporate and Institutional Strategy teams.

After leaving the strategy team he has held various roles in product, previously in Business Lending as HO Equipment Finance product. More recently he has moved across to Home Ownership to lead a Customer Episode and deliver improvement for Home Loan customers.

Zione is Director of Community Engagement at Department of Families, Fairness and Housing leading the Paving the Way Forward In North Melbourne and Flemington.

She has worked as a lawyer for over 15 years working mainly in the areas of family law, child protection and family violence law. Zione has extensive experience as a law reform and policy lawyer having sat on the key state government reference and advisory committees during periods of significant family violence reforms in Victoria. Zione is a trained educator with extensive program design and delivery experience.

Nutifafa is a Data Analyst in National Australia Bank’s Broker Partnership Division. He has worked at NAB for 7 years in a number of positions across financial and operational analytical roles.

He is a strong community advocate and works tirelessly in his role as head of the NAB African Australian Inclusion Alumni Network to support African Australian staff within the bank.
